MEP Estimator (225-919)

As an MEP Estimator, you will be tasked with analyzing project specifications, working drawings, and other related documents to determine the overall cost implications of MEP systems. Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications and blueprints to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to determine project requirements.
• Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns for all MEP-related components and systems.
• Estimate labor, material, and time requirements for MEP systems installations.
• Utilize industry-standard estimation software to produce accurate cost assessments.
• Gather and assess cost data from vendors and subcontractors for budgeting purposes.
• Review project documentation and identify any potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and present estimation reports to the project management team and clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, costs, and construction methods.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure adherence to project budgets and forecasts.
• Manage and update cost databases to reflect the latest market conditions and pricing.
• Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and client-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an MEP Estimator or in a similar estimation role.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and their role in construction projects.
• Proficiency with estimation software such as AutoCAD or other MEP related tools.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
