Job Description

As an MEP Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, designing, and overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems of construction projects. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that all systems and designs comply with project requirements, corporate standards, and regulations. Your involvement will span across various stages of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to post-completion maintenance. Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive designs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for projects.
  • Collaborate with architects and construction teams to integrate MEP systems efficiently.
  • Review and analyze project specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for MEP installations and upgrades.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure installation meets quality and safety standards.
  • Utilize simulation software to test and validate system designs under various conditions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to procure necessary materials and services.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions to stakeholders regarding MEP integrations.
  • Monitor project progress and update management on timelines and milestones.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements and codes are adhered to throughout the project.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for issues that arise during construction and maintenance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the status and performance of MEP systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with engineering software like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
