Job Description

As an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, and management of construction projects. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems will ensure that building infrastructures are safe, sustainable, and efficient. You will collaborate closely with architects, construction managers, and other engineering professionals to develop detailed design blueprints and project specifications. You will also conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations, and contribute to the continual improvement of energy efficiency strategies. Your problem-solving abilities and detail-oriented approach will aid in troubleshooting issues, optimizing systems, and delivering high-quality solutions to complex engineering challenges. Your work will not only shape the physical spaces where people live and work but also contribute to innovative engineering solutions for the future.


Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system layouts for various projects.
  • Develop detailed plans and specifications based on client requirements and project objectives.
  • Coordinate with architects, construction teams, and other engineering disciplines for project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Review and approve drawings, specifications, and other documents related to MEP designs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot MEP system malfunctions to provide effective solutions.
  • Implement energy efficiency strategies to reduce project energy consumption and costs.
  • Work on the integration of building management systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations to communicate project status and results to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to maintain professional competency.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and building regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline required.
  • Proven experience in MEP design, construction, and project management is essential.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM applications.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards for MEP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse project stakeholders.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable but not mandatory.
