MEP Draughtsman

Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in UAE, preferably in facility management and high-rise buildings.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.
• Good understanding of MEP systems, building services, and construction practices.
• Strong coordination, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Draftsman with a minimum of 5 years of solid UAE experience in MEP contracting or engineering consultancy. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience using CAD (or advanced AutoCAD) and possess an in-depth understanding of DEWA, DM, DCD, DDA rules & regulations, and e-submission formats. The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed MEP shop drawings and coordinating seamlessly across all MEP disciplines.

Electrical Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, lighting layouts, power containment, ELV systems, and Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
• Preparing Electrical rooms, LV rooms and detail trench layout
• Prepare complete DEWA submittal packages including Total Connected Load (TCL) schedules, Maximum Demand (MD) calculations, and schematic layouts strictly matching DEWA standards.
• Conduct spatial clash-detection and trade coordination between electrical, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, and structural layouts.
• Revise and update drawings according to site modifications and engineer feedback to create accurate As-Built submissions.

HVAC/Mechanical  Key Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC shop drawings, ducting layouts, chilled water piping, equipment details and as-built drawings.
• Prepare Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural drawings.
• Prepare detail coordination drawings and builder’s work. Coordinate with Engineers, Consultants, FM teams, and Site teams.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site requirements, and design changes.

Plumbing Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed plumbing and drainage shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layouts for domestic water supply, drainage, stormwater, sewage, irrigation, and hot & cold-water systems and as-built drawings.
• Prepare coordination drawings, builders' work drawings, sleeve drawings, riser diagrams, and installation details.
• Coordinate plumbing drawings with HVAC, electrical, firefighting, architectural, and structural disciplines.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site requirements, and design changes.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local authority regulations and company drafting standards.
