Job Description

The MEP Commissioning Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in various projects. This role requires an expert in MEP systems with a keen eye for detail and strong project management skills. The MEP Commissioning Manager ensures that all systems are commissioned according to specifications and regulatory standards. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety, the manager collaborates with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to guarantee that systems perform as intended. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to their successful completion and client satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the commissioning process of MEP systems from planning to execution.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align commissioning activities with project schedules.
  • Develop commissioning plans and procedures based on project requirements and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during commissioning.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into processes.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians during the commissioning phase.
  • Review and approve commissioning documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the commissioning phase.
  • Provide training and technical support to operational and maintenance staff.
  • Conduct performance tests to verify the functionality of MEP systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports on commissioning activities and outcomes for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field is required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in MEP systems commissioning management.
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in commissioning software and computer-based management tools.
  • Certification in commissioning or related fields is highly preferred.
