The role of a Medical Sales Representative is pivotal in bridging healthcare solutions with the professionals who prescribe and implement them. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with medical professionals and healthcare staff.
  • Conduct product presentations to healthcare professionals to increase sales volume.
  • Identify potential clients and make routine visits to existing customer accounts.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets through strategic territory management and planning.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to plan and implement promotional activities.
  • Provide information on new products and techniques to healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain a high level of ethical standards.
  • Prepare regular reports and forecasts as directed by management.
  • Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, and participate in industry networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in medical sales or pharmaceutical sales is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and clinical terminology.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Ability to interpret complex medical data and convey it to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet with clients and attend conferences.
