Job Description

A Medical Sales Representative plays a critical role in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors by acting as the key link between medical and pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals. This demanding yet rewarding position involves building strong relationships with healthcare providers, promoting and selling medical products or services, and ensuring an in-depth understanding of the products and market dynamics. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company sales targets effectively.
  • Visit healthcare professionals and organizations regularly to promote medical products or services.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers in the healthcare industry.
  • Conduct presentations and demonstrations to healthcare professionals to explain product features and benefits.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry developments and competitor activities to provide insights during strategic planning.
  • Achieve sales targets within designated territories or customer segments consistently.
  • Prepare detailed sales contracts and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Manage accounts and provide after-sales support to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collect and analyze sales data to identify market trends and potential growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and seminars to network and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Provide accurate and timely activity and sales reports to management for performance assessment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in medical sales or a similar field for at least two years.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare industry dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and operate independently.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting purposes.
