Primary Objective

The Medical Liaison role is designed to enhance the awareness, recommendation, and adoption of Ego Pharmaceuticals’ brands among healthcare professionals, including dermatologists, pediatricians, general practitioners, and pharmacists. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating demand through medical visits across private clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare institutions, ensuring that Ego’s products are well-positioned within the medical community.

This role involves engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical professionals, and institutions to build strong relationships, provide scientific and product knowledge, and support healthcare professionals in integrating Ego’s solutions into their practice. Additionally, the Medical Liaison will collaborate on educational initiatives, medical events, and market activities that drive brand awareness and professional endorsement.

On occasion, the role will also support business functions by acting as a key contact for distributors, regulatory bodies, consumer associations, and institutions as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge to effectively communicate the scientific benefits and clinical applications of Ego Pharmaceuticals’ products.
  • Conduct medical visits to healthcare professionals, ensuring strong engagement and advocacy for Ego’s brands.
  • Organize and participate in medical conferences, symposia, and professional meetings to strengthen brand credibility and relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide scientific and educational support to healthcare professionals, ensuring they are well-informed about Ego’s products and their benefits.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market insights to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets from the assigned territory
  • Manage, grow and develop the key accounts

  • Medical Visits and Prescription Support
  • Conduct regular visits to physicians across key specialties, including dermatologists, paediatricians, and general practitioners, to create demand through scientific detailing and professional selling techniques.
  • Achieve effective territory coverage, ensuring consistent engagement proportionate to market potential.
  • Secure product availability at the point of sale (POS) linked to clinics and hospitals, ensuring prescription levels are reflected in pharmacy orders.
  • Target institutional practitioners to drive product listing within government and private sectors, creating a spillover effect into the private market.
  • Organize and execute the required number of doctor group meetings (DGMs) as per key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Event Implementation and Sponsorships
  • Assist in organizing and executing product launch events with key customers.
  • Conduct and participate in doctor group meetings (DGMs) and pharmacy group meetings (PGMs) to enhance professional engagement.
  • Identify and select key customers for strategic sponsorships and ethical support, such as conferences and professional development events, ensuring a measurable return on investment (ROI).
  • Stock and Distribution Management
  • Monitor and manage stock levels across clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies to align with demand.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and expiry monitoring to maintain optimal product availability.
  • Facilitate inter-store stock movement to prevent shortages and overstocking.
  • Administrative and CRM Activities
  • Maintain accurate customer segmentation and classification, ensuring biannual updates.
  • Submit daily call reports via Salesforce, detailing visit outcomes and engagement insights.
  • Follow territory management guidelines to maximize efficiency and ensure comprehensive coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in any Medical field
  • A diploma in business administration, sales, or marketing desirable but not essential
