Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests including blood, chemical, bacteriological, and microscopic examinations.
• Accurately prepare biological samples for testing, ensuring proper labeling and tracking.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and accurate results.
• Record and analyze test data, ensuring high levels of precision and accuracy in documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment in compliance with health regulations.
• Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment and results, maintaining optimal functionality.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to relay test results and provide insights.
• Adhere to all laboratory protocols, procedures, and safety standards to ensure compliance.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of new laboratory staff, sharing expertise and knowledge.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information and test results at all times.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in medical laboratory techniques and technology.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to enhance professional skills.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field is required.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized accreditation agency.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, equipment, and terminology is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate data collection and analysis.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
