As a Medical Coder, you will play a critical role in the healthcare industry by ensuring the accurate conversion of patient information into standardized codes. You will be responsible for analyzing patient records and transforming diagnoses, procedures, and services into universal alphanumeric codes. Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient medical records and reports for coding accuracy.
• Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT systems.
• Ensure compliance with national and local coding guidelines and standards.
• Conduct regular coding audits to ensure accuracy and quality control.

Requirements

• Certification in medical coding (such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent certification).
• Proficient knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Experience with electronic health records and coding software tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Previous medical coding experience in a healthcare or clinical environment.
