Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Mechanical Technician – Wynn Oasis to join the resort’s Wynn Oasis Engineering team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC, Kitchen Pollution Units, Plumbing & Drainage, SPA equipment (sauna and steam, etc.).
• Perform preventive, reactive, and condition-based maintenance tasks using CAFM/CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo).
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults, and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with UAE fire, water, and hygiene codes and internal SOPs.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide maintenance and installation activities.
• Supervise and work with contractors during equipment servicing and installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, asset tracking, and spare parts usage.
• Record tasks on CMMS Maximo system
• Support energy-saving initiatives and operational efficiency improvements
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotations.
• Respond promptly and professionally to mechanical equipment related complaints and breakdowns.
• Maintain grooming and hygiene standards as per resort policies, presenting a professional and approachable demeanor.
• Demonstrate empathy, service excellence, and a proactive attitude when interacting with residents, guests, or colleagues.
• Support cross-functional tasks and contribute to a seamless operational experience across properties.
• Assist in mechanical equipment related setup and readiness for staff and guest events, ensuring optimal working conditions.
• Participate in minor refurbishment and improvement projects involving mechanical equipment and infrastructure.
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC chilled water systems
• Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting plumbing and drainage systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo) is a distinct advantage
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years hands on experience in mechanical equipment maintenance, preferably in hospitality, resort or mixed development environments.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and practices.
