As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment in a variety of industries. You will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical failures, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that all mechanical operations are running efficiently and safely. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on all mechanical systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues to prevent equipment failures.
• Repair or replace faulty components in mechanical systems efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineers to enhance the design and performance of mechanical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all tasks.
• Document maintenance activities and update service records accurately and timely.
• Utilize technical manuals and schematics to understand mechanical systems thoroughly.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools in a safe manner.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime of operations.
• Train and support junior technicians and apprentices as required.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and repair parts efficiently.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve mechanical procedures and operations.

Requirements

• A diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a mechanical technician role.
• Strong proficiency in understanding technical manuals and mechanical blueprints.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with experience in mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical tools, materials, and safety protocols.
• Flexible and willing to work shifts and respond to after-hours emergencies.
