Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer I provides mechanical engineering expertise in the early stages of design. They also coordinate project design and analyze complex construction problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive mechanical designs
  • Provide technical support to project teams as required from initial design to production
  • Perform basic analyses (thermal, structural, and tolerance) under the guidance of experienced engineers
  • Develop mechanical designs for new products, fabrication fixturing, and test fixturing
  • Create engineering documentation packages
  • Comply with company policy and site safety guidelines
  • Provide inputs to engineering design reviews including calculations, analyses, drawings, etc. to show compliance to specifications and project objectives and standards

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • No experience is required. OR (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance

Additional Information

  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
  • Pay Range: $65,000 - $90,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
