Job Summary

The MEP Draughtsman is responsible for preparing and developing coordinated MEP shop drawings based on project design and specifications.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY & BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Preparation of Shop Drawings: Prepare detailed and accurate MEP shop drawings using AutoCAD and BIM tools based on IFC drawings.

Coordination: Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams to reflect actual site conditions.

Drawing Revisions: Incorporate revisions from site feedback and design changes into updated drawing submissions.

Documentation & Submission: Ensure timely submission of approved drawings to consultants and project teams.

Compliance

• Ensure all drawings meet technical specifications, local authority codes, and QA/QC standards.
  
  

Site Visits: Conduct site visits to verify installations and adjust drawings based on real-time observations.

Job requirements

Qualifications & Certifications & Experience (mandatory & Preffered)

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Mandatory)
• Certification in AutoCAD / Revit MEP (Preferred)
• 5 years of experience in MEP drafting, preferably in the UAE or GCC construction sector
  
  

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES (Technical, Behavioral And Soft)

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, technical drawings, and construction practices
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently under pressure
