A Mechanical BIM Modeler is an integral part of any construction design team, responsible for creating and managing building information models that detail the mechanical aspects of architecture projects. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate mechanical building information models using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate mechanical designs within BIM frameworks.
• Ensure all mechanical components are aligned with design specifications and project requirements.
• Review and update models based on architectural and engineering revisions and feedback.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to address potential design issues or clashes early on.
• Create and manage detailed mechanical system models, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.

• Train and support junior modelers in the effective use of BIM technology and methodologies.

• Provide technical support for the development and implementation of BIM execution plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field is required.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a BIM modeler or similar role.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD is essential.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and utilities.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret and integrate technical information into comprehensive BIM models.
