The Marketing & Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing customer relationships, and driving business growth for grid systems integration solutions. This role focuses on promoting services and technologies related to power systems, grid modernization, renewable integration, substation automation, energy management systems, and transmission/distribution solutions. The position works closely with sales, engineering, product, and leadership teams to expand market presence and win strategic projects.

Job Description

This is a 1-year full-time trainee position offered under a hybrid working model in Dubai, with the possibility of extension to up to 2 years.

What Youll Do

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in grid systems integration, including utilities, developers, EPCs, industrial customers, and government entities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Track market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and policy/regulatory developments affecting the grid sector.

  • Develop strategic account plans and market entry/growth strategies.

  • Support bid strategy, proposal development, and commercial positioning for major projects.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to align customer needs with solution offerings.

  • Develop and execute marketing plans to promote grid integration solutions and capabilities.

  • Create value propositions, messaging, presentations, case studies, and campaign content.

  • Support branding, thought leadership, events, conferences, and digital marketing initiatives.

  • Conduct market segmentation and targeting for priority customer groups.

  • Help position the company as a trusted partner in grid modernization, electrification, and energy transition.

  • Work with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to shape competitive offerings.

  • Provide market feedback to support product/service development and innovation.

  • Contribute to annual sales forecasts, pipeline reviews, and strategic planning.

  • Support partnerships, channel development, and alliance management where relevant.

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Energy Systems or final year students having the ability to join full time from relevant disciplines

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies

  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across functions

  • Fluency in both Arabic and English

  • UAE Nationals holding a Family Book are encouraged to apply

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Electrical/Power Engineering.

  • Prior experience in business development, marketing, sales, or commercial roles.

  • Understanding of grid systems integration, including substations, grid automation, renewable interconnection, SCADA/EMS, protection and control, or related areas.

  • Experience with B2B sales cycles.

  • Experience working with utilities, transmission operators, renewable developers, or EPC contractors.

  • Knowledge of grid modernization, decarbonization, and digital grid technologies.

  • Familiarity with tendering, proposals, and contract negotiation.

  • Strong communication, presentation skills.

  • Ability to work across technical and commercial teams.
