About The Role
Accountable for ensuring that GSK products achieve timely and sustainable patient access across Gulf countries (UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait). You will develop and execute market access, pricing, reimbursement, and government affairs strategies that enable optimal coverage and uptake for our pharmaceutical and vaccine portfolio. This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, regulatory and policy expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Market Access Strategy
- Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies to secure reimbursement, coverage, and access for GSK products.
- Analyse market trends, pricing dynamics, and reimbursement policies to inform decision-making.
- Map, prioritise and engage the most influential and accessible market access stakeholders across payers, HTA bodies, MOH, NHF and other governmental organisations.
- Act as a subject matter expert on local reimbursement systems and processes for assigned therapy areas or vaccine portfolios, connecting with regional and global stakeholders to align access plans.
- Lead portfolio-level access strategy and the development of local tools and materials to support launches and lifecycle management.
Advocacy, Policy and Public Affairs
- Represent GSK in discussions with Ministries of Health, HTA agencies, national funds and other public payers to advance access and procurement objectives.
- Monitor and interpret changes in healthcare policy, legislation and procurement mechanisms; provide proactive insights and implications to internal stakeholders.
- Lead public policy initiatives and represent GSK at public health forums, industry associations and professional societies, advocating for policies that support patient access and sustainable healthcare systems.
Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, payers, healthcare providers, patient groups and industry associations.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, medical affairs, regulatory and legal/compliance teams to ensure access strategies are aligned with business plans and compliant with regulations.
- Lead access initiatives within hospitals/accounts and represent GSK in Price & Reimbursement Groups, associations or think tanks where relevant.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all activities adhere to local laws, GSK policies and industry codes of conduct.
- Work with medical, legal and compliance colleagues to identify and mitigate risks associated with market access and government interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MPA or equivalent) desirable.
- 5–10 years’ relevant experience in market access, government affairs or public policy within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
- Recent experience working on oncology market access strategies is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience engaging with Ministries of Health, HTA bodies, national funds and other payers in the Gulf region.
- Strong understanding of the Gulf healthcare environment, regulatory and reimbursement landscape.
- Proven skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, project management and strategic thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to influence across functions and at senior levels.

This position is based in Dubai, UAE. Travel across the assigned territory may be required.
