Job Description

Emarat is seeking an experienced Strategy & Enterprise Architecture Manager to establish and lead the Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice. This includes developing EA frameworks, standards, and tools, and leveraging them to design and implement architectural blueprints that support the organization’s current and future business needs.


Key Accountabilities:

1. Architecture Design:

  • Analyze enterprise architecture across business, data, applications, and technology layers
  • Develop and maintain EA frameworks, standards, and tools aligned with strategy
  • Support digital transformation initiatives across downstream operations
  • Monitor emerging technologies and assess relevance to business needs
  • Create and implement EA roadmaps aligned with business objectives
  • Identify optimization opportunities within the current technology landscape
  • Drive adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency and performance
  • Recommend and implement improvements in the IT environment

2. Systems Interactions and Dependencies:

  • Map system interdependencies and data flows across platforms
  • Oversee integration of IT systems to ensure seamless operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and cybersecurity standards
  • Manage capacity planning and service continuity & recovery strategies


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assess IT investments through cost-benefit and ROI analysis
  • Recommend strategies to optimize costs and maximize value
  • Solve complex technical and business challenges with innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business and IT needs
  • Ensure solutions support business models, processes, and data standards
  • Coordinate with teams and project stakeholders to deliver within scope, time, and budget


Knowledge

  • Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: TOGAF, architectural principles.
  • IT Infrastructure and Systems: Hardware, software, networks, systems integration.
  • Emerging Technologies: Cloud computing, AI, machine learning, IoT.
  • Business Processes and Operations: Aligning IT with business objectives.
  • Financial Management: IT investment principles, budgeting, cost optimization.
  • Regulatory Requirements: GDPR, SOX, compliance best practices.
  • Project Management: Agile, Scrum, Waterfall methodologies.
  • Innovation Management: Fostering a culture of innovation.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is a plus while relevant domain certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL) is a must.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, with practical knowledge of TOGAF implementations with focus on Retail and the Oil & Gas Downstream logistics and operations.
  • Extensive experience with IT infrastructure, systems integration, and business process optimization.
