Job Description

The Manager of School Operations plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the operational functions of a school. This position ensures that all operational systems are efficient, effective, and align with the school's strategic goals. The Manager of School Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and logistical components of the school, which include facilities management, scheduling, safety and security, and compliance with educational standards. This role requires excellent leadership and organizational skills, with a strong focus on enhancing the operational efficiency of the institution to support educational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of school policies and procedures, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrative personnel to create a supportive learning environment.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee school facilities maintenance to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement operational policies that align with educational standards and goals.
  • Manage the school’s logistics, including class schedules, transportation, and events coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards at local and state levels.
  • Monitor and manage the school’s budget, optimizing resource allocation to meet operational needs.
  • Lead a team of administrative staff to support effective school operations and services.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to integrate academic and operational strategies effectively.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response plans to ensure student and staff safety.
  • Facilitate communication between the school administration and external vendors for resources and services.
  • Supervise the implementation of technology systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate operational processes for continuous improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  • Assist in strategic planning initiatives to advance the school’s mission and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education management, business administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in educational operations or management roles.
  • Strong understanding of educational laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a dynamic educational setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using technology and management software for operational tasks.
