The Manager, Recruitment – Middle East plays a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and securing top-tier legal and business support talent for our offices in the Middle East. This individual will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, manage recruitment processes, and implement strategic initiatives to ensure the acquisition of high-caliber professionals who align with White & Case’s values and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Recruitment Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract top legal and business support talent, aligning with the firms growth objectives in the Middle East.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues (Middle East and EMEA), department heads and senior management to understand current and future skills gaps and align recruitment efforts with both section/function and organizational objectives.

Talent Sourcing And Acquisition

  • Proactively source, screen, and engage potential candidates through various channels, including direct sourcing, networking events, partnerships with external recruiters, and online platforms.
  • Oversee the full recruitment life cycle, from role identification to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Candidate Assessment And Selection

  • Ensure the end-to-end candidate assessment and selection process is positive and candidate centric.
  • Partner with preferred recruitment agencies to deliver high-quality candidates, ensuring relationships are commercial and effective.
  • Leverage a broad range of sourcing approaches, including direct applicants, referrals, LinkedIn sourcing, and agencies.
  • Ensure effective use of the Firm’s market insight and sourcing tools such as Pirical and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Collaborate with Recruitment Partners and Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs and provide market insights that inform hiring decisions.
  • Educate and upskill interviewers to enable effective hiring decisions and enhance the Firms employer reputation.
  • Collect and synthesize interview feedback, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making.
  • Work alongside the Manager, Early Careers – Middle East to understand and input into the pipeline coming through the Middle East Trainee Programs and how these junior level resources fit with our headcount and hiring plans.

Brand Representation

  • Contribute to the development and promotion of the Firm’s employer brand in the Middle East, ensuring consistent representation in all recruitment materials and communications.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, agencies and educational institutions to strengthen the employer brand in the market.
  • Represent the Firm at industry events, conferences, and recruitment fairs, promoting White & Case as an employer of choice in the legal sector.
  • Identify key competitor activity and potential candidate populations for targeted recruitment.

Data Analysis And Reporting

  • Ensure end-to-end use of the Firms ATS (Workday) to accurately and promptly record candidate processes.
  • Utilize recruitment metrics and data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, make informed decisions, and provide regular reports to management.

Compliance And Process Improvement

  • Develop suitable talent acquisition policies and procedures for the Middle East, with attention to market best practice and nationalization requirements in the various locations.
  • Ensure adherence to recruitment policies, legal regulations, and best practices, while continually identifying areas for process enhancement and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Partner with the Firm’s shared services team to leverage their support with recruitment administration and interview scheduling.

Office And Firm Contribution

  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including partners, hiring managers, and HR colleagues.
  • Support and closely collaborate with the Manager, Early Careers – Middle East and other members of the Middle East team and other stakeholders, including to provide assistance during periods of intensive activity and/or leave.
  • Ensure alignment with the EMEA recruitment strategy and develop initiatives that support the functions objectives to provide a best-in-class candidate experience and offer recruitment business partnering.
  • Contribute to Middle East, EMEA, and global projects and initiatives within the People function

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, particularly within the legal or professional services industry, with a strong understanding of the Middle East market.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruitment projects concurrently, while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.
  • Strategic thinking and the capacity to develop innovative recruitment approaches.
  • Fluency in English (required) and fluency or at least business proficiency in Arabic (desirable)

Location and Reporting

  • This role will be based in one of our Middle East offices (preference Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh)
  • This role reports to the Associate Director, Recruitment – EMEA and the Head of HR – Middle East.
  • Our standard office hours are 09:00-18:00, with a requirement for 4 days in the office per week (Monday – Thursday).
