Role Summary:
Manage the continuous improvement of DMCC’s operational processes by developing enterprise-wide standards, streamlining and automating workflows, and implementing data-driven performance measurement frameworks to enhance efficiency, service quality, customer experience and compliance with UAE regulations and global best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure effective cascading of the divisional strategy into department business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.
Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the department by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff to maximize performance.
Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned department, collaborating with experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
Manage the preparation and recommend the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Design, manage and ensure effective implementation of department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Ensure awareness of and alignment to the organization compliance manual and the code of ethics.
Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Ensure that all department reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet DMCC’s and departmental requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Manage the preparation and review of operational excellence frameworks by analyzing industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and DMCC’s strategic objectives to ensure alignment with UAE regulations and internationally recognized benchmarks, reinforcing DMCC’s position as a global Free Zone and commodities hub.
Ensure the integration of best practices into operational processes by researching global Free Zone and commodities hub standards to reinforce DMCC’s market leadership.
Update operational frameworks in collaboration with internal stakeholders in order to enhance agility, compliance, and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
Manage the development of training and awareness programs for operational teams to ensure the effective adoption of newly implemented standards and guidelines.
Analyze and map cross-functional workflows by reviewing licensing, property management, compliance, onboarding, and member support processes identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Leverage and implement operational excellence methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen in order to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
Review resource allocation across business units by evaluating workload distribution and process dependencies to enhance service quality and reduce operational costs.
Recommend automation and digitalization solutions by collaborating with IT and functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement technology-driven enhancements to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
Embed digital-first and customer-experience (CX) considerations in every operational excellence initiative, aligning target outcomes with key CX metrics
Manage the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by designing metrics that reflect DMCC’s operational priorities and monitoring performance trends to measure efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
Oversee the creation of performance dashboards by integrating real-time data analytics to provide leadership with actionable insights and enable informed decision-making.
Support functional heads in setting performance targets by providing data-driven recommendations to align operational goals with DMCC’s strategic objectives.
Ensure operational compliance with UAE regulations and DMCC standards by embedding governance frameworks in daily processes to uphold regulatory integrity and corporate transparency.
Assess regulatory updates, in collaboration with core operational teams by aligning policies with compliance mandates, implementing process adjustments in order to minimize legal exposure and operational disruption.
Monitor operational risks by conducting periodic reviews of key business processes, evaluating potential vulnerabilities, and implementing risk mitigation strategies to enhance stakeholder confidence and ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university.
A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university is preferred.
7+ years of experience in Business Process improvement or any related field.
Familiarity with Local Authority regulations and personnel would be an advantage.
