Job Summary

The role will be to manage Legal matters in the Organization, providing proactive high-quality advice and risk assessment, in compliance with organizational policies and external laws and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Facilitate access of legal counsel to functional heads for organizing defence of the Company in litigation case. 2. Examine and comment on drafts of proposed MOUs, contracts, agreements, consents, terms of engagement, purchase and service orders, and contracts for Project services
• Coordinate the organization of defence of the Company’s legal interests through legal advisors and advocates.
• Advise the Company on legal compliance issues.
• Interface and negotiate with legal representatives of customers, business associates, Government, trade bodies, and law enforcement agencies to conclude and execute agreements that are concise, clear, equitable, and adequately cover foreseeable grounds for dispute.
• Review and advise the Director on country law & policy from legal standpoint.
• Review and comment on case papers involving the company, and obtain (as focal point) User’s inputs to clarify company’s points of view and legal position particularly with respect to issues and encroachments of company property and rights of way.
• Pursue arbitration cases within guidelines provided by the Director.
• Conduct legal analyses, view technical reports, and recommend course of action on proposed changes in laws and regulations.
