On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking Manager – Hotel Accounting to join the resort’s Finance team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel accounting department
  • Supervise and manage the daily revenue audit function covering all hotel, F&B, and retail related revenues
  • Review:
    • Journal entries and adjustments
    • Trial balances and departmental financial reports
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of:
    • Daily operating reports
    • Monthly closing schedule
  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in resolving accounting discrepancies and variances
  • Supervise the daily revenue audit process to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Review:
    • Audit journals when escalated
    • Revenue reports and audit summaries
  • Ensure audit procedures are completed timely and in accordance with SOPs
  • Assume duties assigned by the Assistant Director of Hotel Accounting and Executive Director of Income Control
  • Assist in ensuring all revenue streams are properly recorded and reconciled
  • Oversee training and supervision of Hotel Accounting Team Members
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management
  • Review audit results and implement corrective actions where required
  • Support the Manager in enforcing internal controls across:
    • Revenue
    • Cash handling
    • Financial reporting
  • Ensure accounting and audit procedures comply with company policies
  • Coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate staff and encourage their participation in decision-making
  • Maintain effective communication with all team members by providing written and verbal translations
  • Ensure that the subordinates are well-mannered and always groomed as per company standard
  • Promote a work environment where team members feel valued, appreciated, involved, equally important and safe
  • Attend regular briefing and scheduled inter-departmental meetings to ensure relevant information is shared
  • Interact with department and company team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively
  • Attend department and inter-department meetings and share relevant information
  • Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications
About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in finance or related field
  • Over 5 years experiences related field in hospitality industry at a supervisory level
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Able to work independently
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Good communication and supervisory skills
