Job Description
On behalf of our client in the environmental and energy sector, we are seeking a Fixed Assets and Inventory Control Manager to oversee capital assets, fleet leasing, and multi-site inventory across sustainable initiatives. You will safeguard critical infrastructure, maintain accurate registers, and partner with finance and site teams to optimize asset utilization and ensure strict compliance.
Job Responsibilities Will Include:
Oversee the complete fixed assets lifecycle, including capital expenditure tracking, depreciation schedules, impairment assessments, and asset disposals across energy facilities.
Direct complex leasing operations, managing operational and capital leases for specialized machinery, equipment, fleet vehicles, and project sites.
Manage multi-site inventory control procedures, performing regular cycle counts, physical audits, and variance reconciliations for critical spare parts and materials.
Develop and enforce internal control policies governing asset tagging, movement tracking, equipment transfers, and warehouse operations.
Lead periodic fixed asset and inventory audits, collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.
Drive process optimization and team performance, mentoring inventory control personnel and establishing key metrics to reduce loss and operational downtime.
Capitalize infrastructure and green projects, working with engineering and operational teams to transition completed projects smoothly into fixed asset accounts.
Integrate and leverage ERP tracking modules to automate asset logging, improve leasing documentation, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, along with relevant professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CPIM).
Must have 8 to 10 years of experience in fixed assets, inventory control, and capital project accounting, with a strong background in a managerial role.
Must be fully bilingual with fluent written and spoken proficiency in both Arabic and English.
Strong expertise in full-scope leasing operations (machinery, equipment, and fleet), lease accounting standards (IFRS 16), and ERP asset modules (SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365).
Proven asset and inventory management background within the environmental, renewable energy, utilities, or heavy industrial sectors.
