Cleaner

For all staff in school we share a responsibility to ensure that children are safe and properly supervised at all times. The Aquila School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalent covering the previous 10 years’ employment history.

Core Purposes And Duties

  • To ensure the school is clean and tidy at all times
  • To keep external areas of the school clean and tidy including car parks, play areas, gardens and windows
  • To support the day to day work of the school such as setting up rooms, moving furniture and equipment
  • To support the work of the maintenance team
  • To support the efficient running of the hydroponics farm and the care of the school animals

In addition, all staff are required to carry out any tasks required by the school or the regional office to facilitate the smooth day to day running of the school

To be line managed by the Facilities assistant and Facilities manager

Hours of work- 6am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, 6am-3pm Friday plus 7 am to 11 am Sunday plus occasional evening and weekend work

Holidays- 30 days per school year (should be taken outside of term time or if not this would be with the express permission of your line manager)
