Job Description

A Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of facilities and equipment within an organization. This position requires a hands-on approach to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance schedules, overseeing quality control for equipment repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues promptly.
  • Oversee and execute repairs on faulty equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for complex repairs.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls from staff.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues or hazards.
  • Support installation or upgrade projects of new equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations across the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with computer-based maintenance management systems is a plus.
