Job Description

The Maintenance Planner is a pivotal role within the maintenance team, responsible for strategizing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure efficient and effective operations. This position involves planning and scheduling maintenance work, managing assets, and ensuring that equipment downtime is minimized. The Maintenance Planner works closely with maintenance managers, supervisors, and technicians to develop maintenance programs and optimize maintenance processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet the organization’s maintenance and production goals. The ideal candidate will have a background in maintenance planning, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team to achieve operational excellence and maximize the lifespan of equipment through diligent planning and scheduling.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed maintenance plans and schedules to optimize resources.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and history to prioritize maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare work orders and ensure all necessary materials and parts are in stock.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to schedule external maintenance services.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
  • Participate in the development of preventive maintenance programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs and report on performance to senior management.
  • Lead regular meetings to discuss maintenance planning and resolve any issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within maintenance operations.
  • Support emergency maintenance activities with prompt and effective planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, maintenance management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance planning or coordination.
  • Proficient in maintenance management software and scheduling tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with teams.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
