Job Description

The Maintenance Planner role is crucial for ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance of facilities and equipment within an organization. The maintenance planner is responsible for devising detailed schedules and plans that ensure all maintenance activities are conducted systematically and on time. This position necessitates a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of maintenance operations. Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed maintenance schedules to ensure timely and effective equipment servicing.
  • Coordinate with various departments to gather information necessary for maintenance planning.
  • Analyze equipment history and data to anticipate future maintenance needs.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and services.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor the progress of maintenance work to ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities and performance metrics.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen maintenance issues promptly.
  • Review and update maintenance strategies regularly to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance teams as needed.
  • Coordinate training sessions for staff to enhance skills and knowledge in maintenance protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance planning or coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, tools, and equipment management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
