Job Description

As a Logistics Supervisor, you play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the movement, distribution, and storage of goods in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily operations of the logistics department to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving processes for all logistics operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies for efficient goods movement.
  • Monitor logistics budget and optimize costs through effective planning and execution.
  • Evaluate performance metrics to streamline logistics activities and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to improve service levels and minimize risk.
  • Lead, train, and mentor logistics staff to foster a high-performance team environment.
  • Conduct risk assessment analyses to preempt and manage supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards across all logistics operations.
  • Prepare regular reports and present findings on logistics performance to management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors to enhance cost-effectiveness in logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in logistics or supply chain management roles.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing a diverse logistics team.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret logistics data and metrics effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in professional settings.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple logistics projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance within the logistics industry.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
