Job Description

The Logistics Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing and directing logistics operations to ensure efficient supply chain processes. This role requires someone who can effectively coordinate the movement of goods, manage schedules, and oversee a team to achieve the company’s operational objectives. A successful Logistics Supervisor will have exceptional organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess great problem-solving capabilities. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the logistics department efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve logistical processes and reduce costs.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies and government regulations.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate team members to enhance their professional development.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with other departments to optimize operations.
  • Manage and accurately track inventory to meet supply chain requirements.
  • Analyze logistic data and prepare reports for upper management use.
  • Negotiate contracts with logistics service providers to optimize efficiency and costs.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods at warehouses.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Plan and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Develop key performance indicators to monitor and enhance logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a supervisory role within logistics or supply chain.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate a team towards objectives.
  • Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software applications.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to optimizing processes.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
