Job Description

The Logistics Supervisor 04D25 plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the logistical operations within a company or organization. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient and smooth transportation of goods, timely delivery, inventory management, and cost-effective operation of logistics activities. The Logistics Supervisor supports and guides the logistics team to achieve and maintain operational excellence. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills along with the ability to multitask and solve problems effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management with the capability to coordinate with various departments to enhance overall processes and systems.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day logistics operations and ensure the smooth flow of goods.
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including delivery and pickup times.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage and report on key logistics metrics to assess performance and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chain solutions.
  • Lead and mentor logistics staff, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Resolve customer service issues related to logistics in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and improve logistics processes using data-driven insights and technology.
  • Prepare and manage logistics budgets, achieving financial targets and efficiency goals.
  • Coordinate with other departments to plan and execute logistics operations effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in logistics or supply chain management roles.
  • Strong understanding of logistics management and supply chain concepts.
  • Proficient in logistics software and technology, including ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and motivating a successful logistics team.
