As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient operation of a company’s supply chain. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the transportation of goods and supplies efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess warehouse costs.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of shipments, inventory levels, and material movements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing logistics operations.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements in the supply chain.
  • Resolve any logistical issues that may arise in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align logistics activities with overall business goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with freight carriers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
  • Use software and other technology solutions to monitor and track shipments and inventory levels.
  • Train and supervise logistics staff, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a logistics or supply chain role, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics and supply chain management best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using logistics and supply chain management software tools.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures for import/export operations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and freight companies.
