Job Description

As a Logistics Officer, you will play a vital role in the management and coordination of various logistics activities. This position is crucial within the supply chain and involves overseeing the procurement, distribution, and maintenance of products and resources. You will ensure that operations in logistics run smoothly, effectively, and cost-efficiently. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a seamless workflow from sourcing to delivery, optimizing logistics processes, and enhancing the company's overall performance. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to improve company operations.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to streamline processes.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for logistics system improvements and cost reductions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies in logistic activities.
  • Monitor and report on the quality, quantity, and cost of all logistics activities.
  • Supervise the work of logistics team members and provide necessary training.
  • Assist in the development of logistic processes and procedures to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain tracking systems and logistics databases with up-to-date information.
  • Manage logistics operations in line with supply chain strategies and objectives.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure effective logistics support.
  • Prepare and present logistics performance reports and analyses to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics management or related field essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required for logistics challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities for managing logistics tasks.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite expected.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively in logistics operations.
