Job Description

To manage and coordinate end-to-end logistics activities for import and export shipments, ensuring timely movement of raw materials, components, machinery, and finished products while maintaining accurate documentation, customs compliance, cost control, and effective coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customers, and internal departments.

  • Coordinate import, export, and cross-trade shipments by sea, air, and road.
  • Manage shipments from supplier readiness through freight booking, customs clearance, delivery, and final documentation.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Obtain and compare freight quotations and support selection of cost-effective shipping options.
  • Handle shipping and customs documentation, including Bill of Entry (BOE), COO, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, HS Codes, LC-related documents, and other required trade documents.
  • Handle activities through Dubai Trade, Dubai Customs, Jebel Ali Port, and other relevant logistics portals.
  • Track shipments closely and provide regular updates on ETD, ETA, customs clearance, delivery status, and potential delays.
  • Ensure adherence to shipping-line and port cut-off dates to avoid demurrage, detention, storage, and other unnecessary charges.
  • Coordinate incoming raw materials and components with Procurement, PPC, Stores, Production, and Finance based on production priorities.
  • Coordinate export shipments of finished products with Sales/PPC and customers to achieve committed delivery schedules.
  • Review freight invoices and logistics-related charges and coordinate with Finance for timely processing.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, freight cost data, customs documentation, and logistics MIS.
  • Support freight cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and logistics optimization.
  • Coordinate with warehouses and 3PL service providers for inventory movement and deliveries.
  • Proactively identify shipment risks and resolve logistics and documentation issues to minimize production and customer-delivery disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, UAE customs requirements, and applicable international trade regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics processes, documentation accuracy, lead-time reduction, and freight cost optimization.
