Job Description

A Logistics Executive is a key member of the supply chain management team, responsible for overseeing and improving the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods. This role is vital for ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting both company and client standards. A successful Logistics Executive will have a strong understanding of logistics software, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing business needs. They must coordinate with various departments, handle strategic planning, and manage external relationships with partners and suppliers. Their ability to identify areas for service improvement and implement changes effectively within the logistics structure is critical.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for the optimization of logistics operations.
  • Coordinate product deliveries and ensure timely shipment to destinations.
  • Evaluate and enhance logistics procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor transportation costs and report budget trends to stakeholders regularly.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of logistics data to facilitate strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international logistics regulations and standards.
  • Address and resolve logistical issues promptly to prevent delivery delays.
  • Implement technology solutions to streamline logistics operations and improve performance.
  • Estimate risks and prepare strategies for risk management in supply chain tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs and goals.
  • Train and mentor logistics staff to ensure skill development and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and act on insights.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage complex tasks.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external parties.
  • Comprehensive understanding of logistics and transportation regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a logistics team effectively.
