Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator is a vital member of the supply chain team, tasked with coordinating and overseeing the efficient movement of goods and materials. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring that all logistics operations run smoothly. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for optimizing transport logistics, coordinating with external logistics service providers, and managing inventory levels to meet customer demands. The position also involves ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as maintaining accurate records of all shipments. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in logistics software, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations for timely execution of processes.
  • Plan and track shipments of goods according to customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with vendors and carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective transport.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports and records on shipping and logistics activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and internal departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and company policies in transport logistics.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to logistics or transportation issues.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Liaise with customer service teams to provide status updates and resolve delivery issues.
  • Utilize logistics IT software to optimize procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure safety standards and quality are maintained throughout logistics activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination.
  • Proficiency in logistics software systems, such as TMS and WMS, is essential.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required for the role.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable transportation and logistics laws and regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
