Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is a critical role responsible for managing and streamlining company logistics and supply chain processes. This position ensures the smooth movement of goods from suppliers to customers, optimizes transport times, and reduces operational costs. A successful Logistics Coordinator efficiently tracks shipments, analyzes logistics data, and suggests improvements to enhance supply chain efficiencies. The role also requires consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders, contract management, and deploying strategies to meet organizational goals. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail while working cross-functionally with various departments to achieve timely and cost-effective delivery of products.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all logistics activities to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, analyzing delivery timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and customers regarding logistics processes.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments.
  • Evaluate and select the most efficient shipping routes and transportation methods.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company operations.
  • Negotiate contracts with logistics providers to secure cost-effective solutions.
  • Analyze logistics performance metrics and generate reports for management review.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipping and delivery operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in logistics activities.
  • Continuously identify and propose improvements to enhance logistics efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain coordination roles.
  • Strong understanding of logistics software and transportation management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities required.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers and logistics service providers is essential.
  • Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs procedures preferred.
