Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the supply chain processes for our organization. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our goods are transported efficiently and reach their destination on time. Your role will involve liaising with various stakeholders, from suppliers and manufacturers to the end customers, ensuring that each step in the logistics chain is executed smoothly. You will be expected to manage logistics operations, monitor transportation costs, and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency. Your daily tasks will include coordinating shipments, overseeing the storage of goods, and resolving logistical issues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics operations efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to resolve logistical challenges promptly.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and transportation costs to ensure budget adherence.
  • Implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain processes and improve service levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers and negotiate favorable contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international logistics regulations and standards.
  • Oversee the storage, handling, and distribution of goods within warehouse facilities.
  • Track shipments and manage inventory levels to prevent stock discrepancies.
  • Anaylze logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Prepare and present logistics reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align logistics activities with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse environments.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Knowledge of logistics regulations and compliance standards across different regions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing transportation contracts is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours to meet logistical demands.
