Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the flow of goods within a company's supply chain. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that products are delivered on time and within budget. The role involves collaborating with a variety of departments, including procurement, transportation, and warehousing, to streamline logistics processes and meet organizational targets. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Utilize logistics IT systems to optimize procedures and streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to achieve mutual logistics goals.
  • Research ideal shipping techniques, routes, and carriers for cost efficiency.
  • Supervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, and other staff.
  • Schedule shipments and plan logistics to meet customer demands.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to logistics operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of logistics procedures and operations.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Analyze logistics data to recommend process improvements and optimizations.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies in logistics activities.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate storage solutions with warehouse managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a logistics coordinator or similar role in a relevant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations and procedures, including best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills for various stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
