Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the flow of goods, information, and resources between the point of origin and the destination. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction across the supply chain. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring logistics operations, including order planning, delivery, and transportation processes. This role will involve working closely with various departments, suppliers, and logistics partners to streamline operations and ensure on-time delivery. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of logistics principles, transportation management, and supply chain operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the logistics and supply chain operations effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation and distribution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor shipments, logistics schedules, and track inventory management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and report discrepancies.
  • Resolve any logistics issues and discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
  • Analyze logistical data to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to align supply levels with demand.
  • Develop cost-effective, customer-focused logistics processes and solutions.
  • Prepare and present logistics performance reports to management teams.
  • Support cross-functional teams in achieving logistics and supply chain goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and transportation principles.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency with logistics management software and tools is essential.
  • Ability to analyze data and suggest and implement process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in logistics.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and logistical challenges.
