The Logistics Assistant plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of any logistics department or company. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage supply chain logistical operations effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized inventory system to track shipments and orders accurately.
  • Communicate with vendors and transport companies to schedule and track deliveries.
  • Assist in processing orders and ensuring they are shipped accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary logistical and inventory reports regularly.
  • Support senior logistics staff in completing daily operational tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and government regulations.
  • Update logistics databases and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages.
  • Work with the finance department to process logistics-related invoices.
  • Identify improvements to existing logistical processes and recommend solutions.
  • Develop strategies to optimize warehouse operations and reduce costs.
  • Provide customer service support by addressing customer inquiries and issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in logistics or supply chain management is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are crucial for this role.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills are essential requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under deadlines.
  • Must be detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and attitude.
