Job Description

As a Logistics Assistant, you will be an integral part of our logistics team, aiding in the efficient and timely movement of goods within the supply chain. You will be responsible for supporting transportation and supply chain operations to ensure that products are delivered according to schedule and within budget. This role involves coordinating with various departments and stakeholders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and optimizing logistics processes. A keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. As our Logistics Assistant, you will contribute to streamlined operations and exceptional customer satisfaction, supporting the overarching goals of our company.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels and ensuring stock availability.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transportation providers for timely deliveries.
  • Support the logistics team in tracking shipments and resolving issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics and shipping records.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Assist in preparing shipping documents and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Help optimize logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and system integrity.
  • Provide administrative support to the logistics management team as required.
  • Monitor and report on logistics KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate with internal departments to align logistics with company goals.
  • Assist in developing strategies for risk management in logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Proven experience working in logistics or supply chain roles preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office applications necessary.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak logistical periods may be required.
