In this pivotal role, you will be the local sales and operation lead within the Motion High Power organization. In close collaboration with your peers and reporting to the Middle East and Africa Region Manager, you are responsible for the full commercial performance of the local division—including revenue growth, customer acquisition, and P&L. Youll lead a high-performing team to execute the go-to-market strategy, drive sales excellence, and deliver sustainable, profitable growth. You’ll ensure local alignment with global strategies while promoting cross-divisional collaboration when commercially relevant, all while ensuring integrity, safety, and a culture of performance.

In addition, you will serve as lead representative primus inter pares (PIP) for all local Motion divisions, providing overarching leadership, alignment and representation on behalf of the full Motion organization at the country level.

The work model for the role is: onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing team(s) and organization.
  • Fully responsible for the UAE P&L (OR, OR/Rev GM, EBIT, Sales Costs), aligning sales costs with business priorities. Oversee Marketing planning and pricing strategy.
  • Develop and sustain a customer-centric culture within the organization and across different teams and functions. Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure superior customer experience
  • Drive top-line growth via new customer acquisition and increased share of wallet. Drives and implements the initiative in the Sales unit, including Account Development.
  • Drive sales productivity, and sales-efficiency and -cost improvements: organizational development, Competence development, implementation of processes and tools (e.g. pricing, opp. mgmt., data quality) etc.
  • Localizes and implements the Division and Business Line (BL) strategies through a comprehensive multi-year country plan, assuming full ownership of local implementation.
  • Owns the KPIs in line with Division / Business Lines / Regions expectations and is accountable to deliver them. Continuously monitors key sales metrics (Pipeline, OR, GM) and initiates appropriate performance improvement actions where required.
  • Defines sales objectives for the team and drives the team to achieve the targets, leveraging Sales Incentive plans that represent clear local accountability for each of the defined business lines
  • Performs sales forecasting and performance reviews, leads the local budget process
  • Execute Motion primus inter pares duties by representing Motion at country level in the UAE, fiduciary duties, drive collaboration and line management for common functions.
  • Promote ABB values and ensure compliance with all local and global standards. Collaboration and coordination with other Divisions.


Qualifications For The Role

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in leading a front-end sales organization and managing a P&L.
  • Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong background in Motion (drives & motors) business and deep understanding of industry customer needs across the UAE and regional GCC market.
  • Track record of delivering business results in matrixed, multinational environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to lead business transformations and growth mandates.
  • Expertise in sales management, customer relationship building, consultative selling, and value-based solutions.
  • Leadership skills with a growth mindset: developing teams, fostering cross-division collaboration, and promoting accountability.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic would be a plus
