As a Lifting Equipment Inspection Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of lifting equipment within various industries. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough inspections, tests, and certifications of lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices, to ensure they comply with regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications. You will work with a diverse range of equipment and clients, providing technical expertise and ensuring that all lifting operations are conducted safely. Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections and evaluations of a wide range of lifting equipment.
• Certify lifting equipment complies with current health and safety regulations.
• Develop inspection reports outlining findings and recommendations for improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments on lifting operations and equipment safety.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs are conducted on faulty equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and training on safe lifting practices to operational staff.
• Ensure that inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and maintained in good working order.
• Monitor the implementation of safety improvements and corrective actions on inspected equipment.
• Liaise with manufacturers regarding equipment specifications and safety standards.
• Implement quality control standards and assist in the continuous improvement of inspection processes.
• Stay updated with new regulations, inspection techniques, and equipment technologies.
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection records for each piece of lifting equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Certification in lifting equipment inspection or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Minimum of three years of experience in lifting equipment inspection roles.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to lifting operations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for inspecting complex equipment.
• Proficiency with computer applications and software used for generating reports.
• Effective communication skills for providing training and recommendations to staff.
