Are you ready to grow as a legal professional and thrive in an international environment? Are you ambitious, commercially minded and highly motivated by a role encompassing a broad range of legal tasks, including international trade and shipping matters, commercial contracts, and corporate and regulatory advisory work? Then, you might be the Legal Counsel we are looking for as our new colleague.

Job description

Monjasa is a global partner in the oil and shipping industry, built on our philosophy of Personal Business. We focus on long-term relationships, a hands-on approach, and deliver tailored solutions to customers worldwide.

In this role, you will become part of a team of dedicated legal professionals based in our offices in Fredericia, Panama City, and Dubai, with Dubai serving as the home office for this position.

This includes advising on the sale and purchase of oil products, Incoterms, bills of lading and other shipping documents. You will also support the Group on corporate governance, regulatory compliance and other business-critical legal issues.

We are looking for a professional with strong legal expertise and a structured, analytical approach. You should be able to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and provide practical, business-oriented advice. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation and take ownership of your workstreams from start to finish.

“The ideal candidate either has experience with or a keen interest to learn about international oil trade, shipping and corporate matters. As the role is based in Dubai, there will be significant interaction with stakeholders in not only the Middle East but also in Africa and Asia. We work closely with the commercial teams, and our new colleague will be given direct exposure to interesting work from day one. It is a unique opportunity to develop a broad skill set in a very interesting industry,” says Bo Staal Andersen, Group Legal Director.
