Job Description

Navina is a fast-growing digital health SaaS company transforming how physicians interact with patient data. Thousands of clinicians across the U.S. rely on Navina’s AI-powered co-pilot to surface meaningful insights and streamline care at the point of care.

We are looking for a Legal Counsel with ~5 years of experience to join our global legal team, reporting to the General Counsel. This is a unique opportunity to take a central role in a rapidly scaling company, working at the intersection of product, business, and regulation.

The role is highly cross-functional and involves close collaboration with Product, R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams. You will support both day-to-day commercial activities and strategic initiatives, while helping shape processes and lead key legal domains.

We are looking for a curious, hands-on lawyer with a strong sense of ownership, who enjoys diving deep into complex topics, building scalable processes, and operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse and evolving challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on a wide range of commercial, product, and regulatory matters across the company’s operations.
  • Support cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and R&D with practical, business-oriented legal guidance.
  • Lead and manage commercial engagements with U.S.-based customers and partners, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements.
  • Advise on U.S. privacy laws and regulations (including HIPAA and related frameworks), and translate regulatory requirements into actionable business guidance.
  • Partner with Product and R&D teams to support product counseling, including feature development and regulatory considerations.
  • Build, improve, and scale legal processes, templates, and playbooks to support the company’s rapid growth.
  • Take ownership of key legal domains and proactively drive initiatives, including identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze developments in privacy, healthcare, and AI regulation, and provide clear recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the global legal team to promote innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement of legal workflows.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of post-bar experience, from a commercial department at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department in a technology company.
  • Strong experience working on commercial matters in the US market.
  • Proven experience in privacy regulation (U.S.-focused), with the ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance.
  • Highly curious, with strong analytical and deep-diving capabilities.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and execution.
  • Ability and desire to build processes, lead domains, and drive initiatives independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional environment.

Advantages

  • Experience working with the U.S. healthcare market.
  • Background in compliance and additional regulatory domains.
  • Experience in product counseling and advising product teams.
  • Experience in corporate/legal aspects of company operations.
  • Familiarity with AI-related regulation.
