We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Legal Counsel specializing in logistics and eCommerce to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal guidance to our business operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while mitigating potential legal risks. This role requires an extensive understanding of the logistics and eCommerce industries, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to support the company's strategic goals. The Legal Counsel will be instrumental in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements, as well as providing proactive legal advice to support the company's and its stakeholders' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal guidance regarding logistics and eCommerce operations to ensure compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts and legal agreements.
• Develop and implement policies and guidelines to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with business teams to address legal issues impacting the logistics network.
• Advise on regulatory compliance concerning online sales, shipping, and data protection laws.
• Conduct thorough legal research to ensure business practices align with legal standards.
• Manage external legal counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings or disputes.
• Ensure effective management of all legal documentation and records for accuracy and currency.
• Stay abreast of legislative changes affecting the logistics and eCommerce sectors.
• Support financial and strategic transactions with appropriate legal documentation and advice.
• Communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders within the company.
• Provide training and support on legal matters to relevant teams to strengthen compliance.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in logistics and eCommerce sectors.
• Strong understanding of contracts, regulatory compliance, and eCommerce laws.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with attention to detail.
• License to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction is required.
