Legal Billing Specialist

LEGAL BILLING SPECIALIST

A growing Alpharetta-based law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist with a strong background in insurance defense billing to manage high-volume, complex billing operations. This is a fully onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full billing cycle, from pre-bill to submission and collections
• Prepare and submit LEDES invoices in compliance with client guidelines
• Review/edit time entries and ensure accurate UTBMS coding
• Manage eBilling platforms (Tymetrix, CounselLink, Legal Tracker, etc.)
• Resolve billing rejections, reductions, and discrepancies
• Partner with attorneys on billing inquiries and reporting
• Help streamline billing processes and support team growth

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of legal billing experience in insurance defense
• Strong knowledge of LEDES, UTBMS, and eBilling systems
• Ability to manage multiple client billing guidelines
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
• Experience with billing software (TABS3, Clio, or similar)
