Job Description

The Leasing Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and managing all leasing activities to ensure optimal occupancy and financial performance of a property portfolio. This individual is responsible for developing strategies to attract new tenants, retaining existing ones, and maintaining positive tenant relationships. The Leasing Manager will work closely with property management teams to align leasing goals with overall property objectives and ensure that all leasing procedures comply with organizational standards and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for negotiating lease agreements and resolving tenant issues promptly. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market trends and be able to implement effective leasing initiatives to enhance the profitability and reputation of the properties under their management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective leasing strategies to attract potential tenants.
  • Manage tenant retention programs to ensure high renewal rates and reduce vacancies.
  • Negotiate lease agreements to optimize terms in favor of company interests.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and inform leasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to conduct leasing and promotional events.
  • Oversee tenant application and screening processes to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of lease agreements, amendments, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with property management to address and resolve tenant issues promptly.
  • Prepare detailed financial and leasing reports for upper management review.
  • Ensure all leasing activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Train and mentor leasing staff to enhance their professional development.
  • Lead leasing meetings to communicate goals, progress, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in leasing, property management, or real estate.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close lease deals effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with tenants, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in developing successful leasing strategies and tenant retention.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adjust leasing strategies accordingly.
  • Proficiency in lease management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
