About The Job

Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.

We plan and acquire optimal production network solutions for Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Underneath everything Google users and customers see online or access from the cloud is the production network that has been built Google Global Infrastructure (GGI).

Global Network Acquisition sets the strategy, work across teams to develop the plan and acquires the scalable infrastructure required to ensure user's and customer's have their expectations met.

We have embraced the challenge to provide a resilient network under oceans and across continents, to efficiently accelerate the pace of network turn up in EMEA while continuing to drive down costs and quickly adapt to market changes.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and leverage long-term relationships with regional telecommunications carriers and wholesale operators to drive asset acquisition and network penetration.
  • Evaluate technical network architectures, fiber routing proposals, and vendor bills of materials autonomously to ensure cost-effective and resilient solutions.
  • Act as the primary agreement lead, driving consensus across cross-functional teams (including Network Planning, Legal, Tax, and Public Policy) to de-risk projects and align acquisition strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Navigate regulatory frameworks in emerging and monopoly-driven markets to secure optimal commercial terms, mitigating supply chain and geopolitical risks.
